What goes wrong

An outreach programme lives or dies on its catchment. Every practice a hospital cannot collect from is revenue going to somebody else's laboratory, and the ones that fall outside an in-house driver's round are exactly the ones worth winning.

Running collections on staff and hospital vehicles ties up people and capital in a function that is not clinical care, and it scales badly. One absence and a route simply does not run.

Samples moving between wards, departments and the laboratory are easy to treat as internal post. They are not. A specimen that sits on a trolley for two hours has degraded whether or not it ever left the building.

Can you extend our outreach catchment?
That is usually why hospitals come to us. Send the list of practices you would like to collect from and we will tell you which are workable and what the route would look like.
Can you replace our in-house drivers?
Fully or partially. Some hospitals hand over the whole round; others keep their own vehicles for core routes and use us for the outlying points and for cover. Tell us which shape suits you.
Do you move records and internal mail as well as samples?
Yes, including confidential patient records, handled with the care that implies, not as general parcel traffic.
