Who we are

This website is operated by MEDICON LOGISTICS SDN BHD (company registration no. 1411989H (202101011690)), trading as MedICon Logistics, of Jalan Salung 33/26, Shah Alam Technology Park, 40400 Shah Alam, Selangor. For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”), MEDICON LOGISTICS SDN BHD is the data user responsible for personal data collected through this website.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us. Enquiries made through this website are sent to us by WhatsApp: the enquiry form prepares a message, and nothing reaches us until you send it from your own WhatsApp account. An enquiry contains:

• Your name
• The company or institution you represent
• Your work email address, where you choose to provide it
• Your WhatsApp telephone number and profile name, which WhatsApp shows us when you message us
• The details of your enquiry: the service required, temperature range, frequency, and whatever you write in the message field

We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not include any in an enquiry. In particular, do not send patient-identifiable information, trial subject data or clinical results through this form or over WhatsApp.

Technical data

Our hosting provider records standard server information, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. The enquiry form itself does not send anything to our servers.

Why we use it

Personal data submitted through this website is used to respond to your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, and to carry out any service you subsequently engage us for. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.

Who we share it with

We disclose personal data only where it is necessary: to service providers who process it on our behalf, meaning our website host and our email provider, and where we are required to do so by law or by a regulatory authority. Messages you send us on WhatsApp are carried by WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and handles them under its own terms and privacy policy.

Where it is held

Our website host, our email provider and WhatsApp may store data on servers outside Malaysia. Where personal data is transferred outside Malaysia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to that required under the PDPA.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting engagement, and afterwards for as long as we are required to retain records for legal, tax or regulatory purposes. Data that no longer serves a purpose is deleted.

Security

We take reasonable practical steps to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and you send information to us at your own risk.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may, in respect of personal data we hold about you:

• Request access to it
• Request that it be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete
• Withdraw your consent to our processing of it
• Limit how we process it

To make a request, write to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may charge a prescribed fee for a data access request where the PDPA permits it. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer deal with your enquiry or provide a service to you.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Those are governed by Google’s privacy policy rather than ours.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
