Warehousing

Storage built around the risks specific to medical goods.

Batch, expiry and temperature range tracked from receipt through to release, with our own transport out the door.

General warehousing treats a pallet as a pallet. Medical stock is not a pallet. It has a range it has to stay inside, a batch it has to stay attached to, and a date after which it is worth nothing.

Our storage is organised around those three facts. Product is received against what was expected, put away into the range it is written to, and released against its shelf life. What leaves the building can be tied back to what arrived. That is the question you will be asked in an audit, and the one that is impossible to answer retrospectively if nobody recorded it at the time.

How much of the chain we take is up to you. Some clients hand over storage, picking and delivery together; others want pick and pack alone and keep the rest in house. Both are normal, and the arrangement is worth sizing against what you actually want to stop doing yourself.

What we hold

Stock with a range and a date on it.

Pharmaceutical stock

Finished packs, bulk material awaiting pack-down, and product held between import and release.

Clinical trial supplies

Kits, ancillary supplies and investigational product held between sponsor, depot and site.

Laboratory consumables

Reagents, assay kits and consumables that have a storage range and a shelf life worth protecting.

Medical devices

Devices with a stated storage condition, held in the range the labelling calls for.

Receipt to release

Five stages, each one recorded.

Nothing here is unusual. What matters is that it happens the same way every time, and that somebody wrote it down.

01

Receipt

Goods are checked in against what was expected: quantity, batch, expiry and the condition they arrived in. Anything that does not match is raised before it goes to a location, not after.

02

Put-away

Stock goes to the range it is written to, with its batch and expiry recorded against the location rather than held in somebody's memory.

03

Storage

Held in range, with shelf life tracked so that short-dated stock surfaces before it becomes a write-off instead of after.

04

Pick and release

Released on a first-expired-first-out basis unless you tell us otherwise, picked to the order, and packed for the journey it is about to make.

05

Distribution

Out through our own transport, so the consignment does not sit on a dock waiting for a third party to collect it.

Stored goods usually leave through our own transport. See how collections and deliveries run.

Questions

Asked before storage starts.

Not covered here? Ask us directly and you will get a straight answer.

Do you handle shelf life and expiry?

Yes. Batch and expiry are recorded at receipt and tracked against the storage location. Stock is released first-expired-first-out unless you instruct otherwise, and short-dated stock is flagged rather than left to be discovered at pick.

Can you store at a controlled temperature as well as ambient?

Yes. We hold a cold room at 2–8 °C and controlled room temperature at 15–25 °C alongside ambient storage, so a mixed consignment does not have to be split across two providers.

Do you distribute what you store?

Yes, and that is the point of the arrangement. Goods leave through our own transport instead of being handed to a separate courier, which removes the handover where most temperature and traceability problems are introduced.

Is storage shared or dedicated?

Both are possible depending on volume and on what the product needs. Tell us what you are holding, how much of it and for how long, and we will say which makes sense.

Can we use you for pick and pack only?

Yes. Some clients hand over the whole supply chain, others want one part of it and keep the rest in house. Pick and pack as a standalone service is a normal arrangement, and so is full integration where we hold stock, pick to order and deliver.

Do you handle customs on imports and exports?

Tell us what the consignment involves and we will confirm how customs is handled for that lane before you commit to it. Getting that answer in writing early is worth more than finding out at the port.
