Clinics
Clinic and doctors' office sample collection
Daily sample collection from clinics and consulting rooms through to the testing laboratory, with reports and records coming back the other way.
What goes wrong
01
A clinic sends samples out and expects results back. Everything in between is invisible to them until it goes wrong, at which point it is the clinic that has to call the patient.
02
Most samples leaving a doctor's office are paid for by the receiving laboratory, which makes collection reliability a commercial matter for the laboratory and a service matter for the clinic, and leaves it owned by neither.
03
A missed collection does not just delay one result. It pushes a whole day's samples into the next run, and some of them will not survive the wait.

What we do about it
How the work is set up.
04 points
01
Daily scheduled collections
Rounds built around clinic hours, so samples leave while they are still within the window the test requires.
02
Reports and records returned
The return leg treated as part of the same service, not an afterthought, including confidential records.
03
Multiple clinics on one round
Shared routes make collection viable for practices that could never justify a dedicated vehicle of their own.
04
Handled by people who do this daily
Not a general parcel network taking medical work on the side. The difference shows in how a sample is treated between the door and the vehicle.
Questions
Asked by teams in this position.
Not covered here? Send us the detail and we will answer it directly.
Do you collect from individual clinics?
Yes. Single practices usually sit on a shared round, which is what makes regular collection affordable at that scale.
Can you deliver reports back to us?
Yes, including confidential records. The return leg is part of the arrangement, not a separate job.
Who normally pays, the clinic or the laboratory?
Either. In most arrangements the receiving laboratory carries the cost, but we can contract with whichever side prefers to hold it.
